What compliment are you most often given?

The compliment that I'm given most mentions that I have Beautiful eyes. (I only make note of this because of the irony... I'm legally blind)

What was your favorite road-trip of all time?

Yes I would got on vacation by myself, it would be a package deal starting in London ending in Amsterdam. I chose those locales for the simple fact I felt at home (more so in Amsterdam) there both times I visited (visited them both twice)

While residing in Austin Texas my girlfriend at the time called a mutual friend of ours and midway into the conversation, her kids and I began making noise and made it seem as if she and I were arguing! We went on to make it seem as if I was abusing her, I'd clap my hands near the receiver and she'd scream as if in pain as well as shout verbally "no not again" then she screamed, the kids screamed, I shouted "Oh Sh..!" and I hung up the phone... we fell to the floor laughing... not even five minutes passed and he was outside the house, knocking on the door and when he got no response he began circling the house trying to peer inside the windows... he left 30 minutes later and we laughed at him and what we'd done for a good hour.... damn to be in my 20's again....

Why is it such a hard thing to believe
that something so simple could give me reason to snipe & grieve
why the f*** do I have to beg and plea
with those I've allowed in my circle, not to say 'bye' to me
can't we agree upon another term?
why must you insist on spewing that which makes me squirm?

don't tell me goodbye

'bye' in all it's variations is too / QUITE final and NOT what I want to hear
so keep the concept of goodbye from my ears
everything under the sun has it's time and it's season
yet goodbye is never acceptable under any circumstance nor for ANY reason
as there are times it may anger me or give me cause to fight back tears
this is a simple message & request for friends, family, & peers

please don't tell me goodbye

do you not want to see me again at another time
or are you determined to give me reason to erect a 'wall' for ALL to climb
am I so wrong in my view
is it so wrong to have desire to remain in contact with you?
later or see you soon is the message you should be trying to convey
indicating you hope & want to interact with me another time & another day

you shouldn't tell me goodbye

I've said this all before
I'll repeat it here & now once more
'When Good bye has come from my mouth
any feelings I may have had for you have been flushed WAY down south
(so) if bye is what you've heard me say
this was our last moment, second, & day!'

so don't you dare tell me, if you're not ready to hear me say & mean goodbye...

I'm a Mobile / Bedroom DJ with close to 30 years of experience (I started spinning in 1979), I spin D.H.D. (not a reference to Stargate SG-1) Disco / House / Dance. I'm originally from New Jersey but now I reside in the Queen's City, North Carolina. On occasion I host a live NiceCast Internet Radio Show, most of the time is of mixes music and sometimes it's a mixture of music and spoken word. I started on technic 1200 MKII's & vinyl, but I have "evolved" to Traktor DJ Studio & MP3's. I joined this group with the hopes of interacting with like minded individuals
. I also prodice original tracks as well as the occasional remix...

Three things I want to learn are: How to meditate, Latin, & ANY computer language. Three things I can teach others to do: How to build Linux/FreeBSD boxes, how to beat match/mix as a (vinyl or MP3) Disc Jockey, valid reasons to use any operating system aside from "windoze"

I was living in Asbury Park New Jersey, & my brother was visiting with me & my girlfriend at the time. My girlfriend "Jewelz" came home from work after hearing the call for extras for a Spike Lee Movie (Malcolm X) on the radio. She'd written down the address and we were off. Hauling ass I get the three of there in one piece as well as in record time. We get to the school where the filming is taking place and my brother & I make it in but they have enough women so Jewelz was unable to participate, a fact I wasn't made aware of until we were done. Because they were running behind schedule & shooting was about to begin, my brother and I were rushed through to wardrobe yet due to being behind schedule,  we were unable to shave, so we were the only two to have hair on our faces ... Hours later, after filming for the day had wrapped, Spike Lee & Denzel Washington were personally shaking the hands of each and every extra... My Brother & I were standing there in AWE... mind you everyone had a resume or a business cards & were trying to plead their individual cases. Finally they make their way to us and are shaking my and my brothers hand & we had NOTHING to say Yet I KNOW to this DAY Spike & Denzel will remember us because Denzel had jokes... We were in awe and had nothing to say, nothing to pitch, no resumes, nothing witty to say, just standing there like deers caught in the headlights of an on coming vehicle ... So we're standing there in silence shaking their hands & Denzel says "Who are you guys the Silent Twins?" We all laugh and I break my Silence and stated, "I'm just glad to be here & happier to meet you!" My Brother is co-signing as I'm panning my eyes back & forth between the two so they knew the "you" was a plural one) WHAT WHAT I met two people I wanted to meet from my list of people "I'd like to meet!!!" a final note:: My clutch burns out on the way home and my brother & I end up pushing the vehicle up the road to an exit after the last toll before Asbury Park, WTF???
